We (Favell & Siegel) are very excited to have reignited King Victoria Productions.
We are drawn to working together again as we know each other very well and spark each other’s creativity.
The original iteration of King Victoria Drag Kings 2000–2011 was raunchy and comedic, exploring and subverting gender stereotypes–and fundamentally that has not changed.
Between us, having produced and performed more than 1000 shows in numerous genres (music, theatre, cabaret, drag) we are more than ready to produce ambitious works. Favell's script, "The Worst Thing You Ever Did", finalised via a Masters in Theatre (Writing) is one of our upcoming projects. Another is the launch of "King Victoria, The Early Years" at Pride Centre Melbourne, for Midsumma Festival 2027, with drag shows! Another project in development is the musical, "MuthaFucka MC. This! is my Origin Story".
Our artistic goals as producers and performers have always been to give a genuine voice and real empowerment to our diverse LGBTIQA+ community. This means connecting people with stories, wicked hilarity, genuine inclusivity, and the confrontation of political issues – always with excellent production values.
